Corporate Social Responsibility

The British Club

Our Responsibility

We take our corporate social responsibilities (CSR) very seriously here in The British Club. It is the way in which we seek to take account of our economic, social and environmental impact in all that we do.

We will establish and maintain a proactive approach through voluntary actions to address Club and Member interests as well as the interests of the wider society. We are committed to taking positive steps towards enhancing our CSR working with our Members to achieve this goal.

Farm-to-Table (FTT) Certified

The British Club Singapore is certified Base Tier in the Farm-to-Table (FTT) Recognition Programme jointly developed by the Singapore Food Agency (SFA), the Association of Catering Professionals Singapore (ACAPS), the Restaurant Association of Singapore (RAS), and the Singapore Hotel Association (SHA).

This recognition programme was created to encourage businesses to adopt sustainable practices by procuring fresh produce ingredients locally. We are in full support of this initiative and have fulfilled the requirements of the Base Tier award by procuring at least 15% of local produce in one food category. This recognition is a testament to our commitment to sustainability and we look forward to supporting more local businesses.

Cheque Presentation

In the past 12 months with the kind support of our Members, the Club has raised a total of $40,000 for Charity
through various initiatives such as Quiz Nights, Bingo Nights, Dinner Auctions, Christmas Tree Wishing Star and other projects by our Craft Ladies Group.

At the Members Connect Night in April 2022, the British Club President, Mr. Stephen Fulton presented a cheque for
$20,000 to local charity, RDA Singapore Official and a cheque for $20,000 to UK charity, the The Gurkha Welfare Trust.

A big thank you to our Members as this would not be possible without your kind event participation and support.
