Played like 'yatzee' this is a fun game that requires no special skills (but don't tell the Balut section that). Using 5 dices in a leather cup, the aim is to try and get the best combination of the highest scores possible. As the game is played in many other clubs in Singapore and the region, the group often enters inter-club competitions.
A game of Balut consists of twenty-eight rounds wherein the player rolls the dice in order to score from one of the seven categories that have been established. The categories are 4’s, 5’s, 6’s, Straights, Full House, Choice and Balut. The player must score in each of the categories at least four times in order for it to be factored into their final score.
