CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
We take our corporate social responsibilities (CSR) very seriously here in The British Club. It is the way in which we seek to take account of our economic, social and environmental impact in all that we do.
We will establish and maintain a proactive approach through voluntary actions to address Club and Member interests as well as the interests of the wider society. We are committed to taking positive steps towards enhancing our CSR working with our Members to achieve this goal.
MEASURABLE IMPACT
Our mission to eradicate single-use plastics from 2018 has been successful. A copy of our Eco Report for 2018/2019 is below.
Last year, The British Club organised our very own beach clean up to show that we care.
Club Appointed Charities

The Gurkha Welfare Trust (GWT)
GWT ensure that Gurkha veterans, their widows and their wider communities are able to live with dignity, primarily through the provision of financial, medical and community aid in Nepal.
In the UK, in conjunction with other service charities and government bodies we offer advice and support to help the thousands of retired Gurkhas and their families who choose to settle there.

CHEQUE PRESENTATION
In the past 12 months with the kind support of our Members, the Club has raised a total of $40,000 for Charity
through various initiatives such as Quiz Nights, Bingo Nights, Dinner Auctions, Christmas Tree Wishing Star and other projects by our Craft Ladies Group.
At the Members Connect Night in April 2022, the British Club President, Mr. Stephen Fulton presented a cheque for
$20,000 to local charity, RDA Singapore Official and a cheque for $20,000 to UK charity, the The Gurkha Welfare Trust.
A big thank you to our Members as this would not be possible without your kind event participation and support.
